WordPress blog only shows last 12 months archives on the side bar but you would like to increase this.
To amend this:
1) Access file sidebar.php via FTP, hosting cpanel or via your wordpress admin panel
2) Locate <?php wp_get_archives(‘type=monthly&limit=12’); ?>
3) Amend 12 to the number of months you wish to display
