Unable to open links within Outlook

You come across an issue where when trying to click on a link within an email you receive the error below. You have tried resetting your Explorer settings, cleared cache but still not able to resolve the issue.

Error: “The operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator”

Try this: Install another browser such as Firefox and set as your default browser. Next, close Firefox, reopen Internet Explorer and change your default browser back to Internet Explorer. Reopen Outlook and try clicking the link again.
