If you receive the below alert within your event log, it is usually because an auto update has failed.

Reached crypt32 threshold of 50 events and will suspend logging for 60 minutes

The fix can be found below: (Applicable to Windows 2000, XP, WIndows 2003)

Register the following files:

1) Click start
2) Click run
3) Type regsvr32 Softpub.dll
4) Click OK
5) Repeat steps 1 to 4 for the following files: Wintrust.dll, Initpki.dll and Mssip32.dll
