Outlook 2003 opens and closes

You find Outlook opens and closes without error messages.

Try the folllowing:

1) Uninstall Office, for example from IE9 to IE8
2) Down grade Internet Explorer
3) Reboot your machine
4) Reinstall Office and service pack
5) Create new Outlook profile
6) Set editor to Microsoft Word within Outlook, tools>options>mail format
7) Try again

Out Of Office Assistant – The command is not available

If you come across an issue where you receive error ‘The command is not available’ when you try clicking on out of office, try the following:

Please be careful when editing the registry. If unsure, seek help.

1) Close Outlook
2) Click Start
3) Click run
4) Type regedit and click OK
5) Expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook
6) Right click the subkey Resiliency and then click Rename.
7) Type Resiliency.old, and then press ENTER.
8.) Close registry editor
9) Open Outlook and try again
