When launching a published app on Xenapp such as Remote Desktop, you receive an error similar to the one below.
Cannot connect to the Xenapp server. SSL Error 43. The proxy denied access to port 1494
This is highly likely due to your firewall blocking access or you have published the application to a Xenapp server which has not had the required ports opened.
1) Open c:\program files (x86)\citrix\independent management architecture\mf20.dsn using notepad
2) Make the required change
3) Stop the IMA service
4) Open command prompt and run the below command, replacing the username and password. If copying the below command to notepad, re enter the speech marks ( ” )
dsmaint config /user:domain\svc_<xxxxxx> /pwd:password /dsn:”c:\program files (x86)\citrix\independent management architecture\mf20.dsn”
5) Start the IMA service
6) Run sc \\%computername% query imaservice and ensure state is running
7) Finally copy the mf20.dsn file to other xenapp servers and follow steps 3-5 again.
