To enable or disable your Windows firewall, follow the instuctions below:

1) Click start
2) Click control panel or settings and control panel
3) Switch to classic view (can be found towards the left). If you can see ‘switch to category view’ then you are already in classic view so continue to the next step.
4) Double click Windows Firewall
5) Select On or Off

If you find that both off and on are greyed out, then it’s possible that a network policy at the company you work for will not allow you to enable or disable your Windows firewall. In this case see your network administrator.
