If you would like your deleted items within Outlook to empty automatically when you exit from the program, follow the instuctions below:
1) Open Outlook
2) Click Tools
3) Click the tab ‘Other’
4) Select ‘Empty the deleted items folder upon exiting’
5) Click OK

I have applied this through Group policy as we have over a 1,000 users. This has taken a great load away from our mail system. Keep it up dude
