How to create an email archive folder

You may wish to create an archive folder if you need to reduce your Exchange mailbox size or just to organise your mail.

To create an archive folder:

1) Open Outlook
2) Click file
3) Click new
4) Click Outlook Data File
5) Select Office Outlook Personal Folders File (.pst) or Outlook 97-2002 depending on the version of Outlook
6) Click OK
7) Name your archive folder and save to a location of your choice
8.) Click OK
9) Change the name of your personal folder to what ever you wish or leave as default of ‘personal folders’
10) Set a password if you wish (most leave this blank)
11) Click OK
12) Your new archive folder will appear towards the left menu within Outlook
