The below applies for Windows machines only
The original location of the Backups is at the following location C:\Users\*YOUR USERNAME*\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup
and to move follow the below instructions:
- Copy the folder to the new location backup
- Go to the original folder location C:\Users\*USERNAME*\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\
- Delete the folder “Backup” or you can rename it “OLDBackup” to store it
- Launch command prompt, click start, click run and type cmd, press enter or search cmd from the start menu
- Type the following command
mklink /J “%APPDATA%\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup” “Your new location, for example c:\phonebackup”
- Press enter
- Exit from command prompt
- Launch a backup to confirm itunes backs up to new location
